PARALLEX ALL DONE!! Just a quick shout out to anyone like me who was stuck in the traffic on the M4 after the event.
A BIG thank you to all of the 'Old Gang' of Nordic walkers who turned up at the Saturday Soiree - along with family you helped to make the weekend for me. Really looking forward to this weekend - I am taking part in the Parallax art fair at Kensington town hall - also meeting some of my oldest friends Saturday evening
I have been preparing new pieces the past couple of months - so no new updates for a while
Parallax has up to 15,000 visitors - all the info is on the poster opposite - look forward to meeting old friends and making new

14 January 23 - a new year and finally I have finished my latest art work - click the Henna Art button to see - I have exciting projects coming up this year and as they develop I will publish info - just starting my next collection and they will be totally different - info will follow!

LOSTWITHIEL - I will be at the Lostwithiel evening - advertised below and will have a selection of pieces from my web site and some new stuff which I have produces just for this event- loads of other stalls there also so should be a gr8 evening for getting out and feeling the Xmas spirit!

Very excited this week as I now have a display at Choughs in Lostwithiel - candles, candle stands and holders along with a selection of my cards are for sale, Lostwithiel itself is full of interesting antique and craft shops and cafes and well worth a visit. I will also have a stand at the Dickensian evening in Lostwithiel - inside the Church rooms, details are below.

Been working on new candle designs for a while for a forth coming 'Open house' - click the HENNA CANDLE ART link to see, no two are or ever will be the same and remember i can keep them even more be spoke by designing in colours you request. I have deliberately produced a set with no sparkle, diamanté's or glitter so that the focus is on the patterns. My on going project is my rocking horse, he was a very sad and tired thing when I found him, but once stripped back to the wood he is well on the way to being completed. I am also starting my latest canvass work which I am very excited about as i will be using glass as a central focus.
Not enough hours in the day!!! The nights are drawing in for all of us and temperatures slowly dropping so for me it will be more time in the studio….check to my new designs, I have a super large candle set which will be on the web site very soon and pics of the rocking horse also……stay safe and enjoy every day!

Where is the year going? I seem to be talking to people about things that happened last year, then realising it was the previous year! Maybe our body clocks are still adjusting after our lockdowns….hoping you are all safe and at last being able to get out and about and hopefully on a few breaks or holidays. I took part in an exhibition at the Lizard Lighthouse at Mullion, Cornwall, it was a fantastic day and I have made a quick video of it, the link is below - if you haven't visited it and are in Cornwall I can recommend it, oh and get there before the end of this September as the current reflector is going to be changed to an electronic type.
I am currently working on several commissions and also a couple of other projects, - I have just published my lates vase on the site, click HENNA VASES to see - and I have a very exciting project taking shape - a wooden rocking horse! - All pieces when completed will be on my site.
OK as I go back to the paint, stay safe and I will have more to show you very soon.
Until then a few pics below as a teaser, this is a work in progress and I aim to have it completes by the end of August, then I will have a full video and more pics.

Hoping everyone is well and had a good Xmas, it all seems so long ago now! - I have been busy working on 2 pieces which I just completed, my first is now on the Vase page and my second will be on the site over the coming days, I am also now involved with the Liskeard Market Makers - a new organisation which is dedicated to all things art in Liskeard, as well as being there for the public and offering courses there should be very soon art exhibitions, as news and programmes develop I will keep you all posted
Thought I would give you a picture of the Cleopatra vase a long time before it was completed - on the right it was about 2 weeks into the work, so a before with the after at the HENNA VASE tab

Just to wish everyone a very merry Xmas and hoping we all have a better year in 2022 with more and more normality! I have a new project in Liskeard to look forward to - Market Makers - as it develops I will give updates, however it is something everyone will be aware of, so I am now in the studio daily so that I have work for forthcoming exhibitions - my planned nursing over the festive period on London has just been cancelled with my walk in centre being closed due to covid, so it will be a Xmas in Cornwall - always try to turn any negatives into a positive if you can - above all stay safe and take care and like myself look forward to the new year!! I took this pic last week in one of my favourite places at this time of year - Looe.

Well here i am in Jersey C.I. and i would love to be writing at the motivation and ideas I am getting on my first visit to Family for a break since Covid - BUT, it's lashing it down with stair rod type rain at the moment, so the creativeness and ideas can wait a day or so! - Below is my 'Plate of peace - hope and love and i thought I would post a before and after and some of the stages to completion. (Its on the 'Henna Vases' tab) Hope you are all easily preparing and planning for xmas, stay safe

So, two weeks ago I was walking on one of my favourite local beaches, sunshine was peeking through clouds, I had been looking into rock pools and then when sitting down on the coastal path overlooking the ocean I knew what my next canvass would be, if I had tried to plan , it would not have happened, so just completed and for the time being hanging in my hallway, visit the Henna art page to see more of 'Ocean Inspired'

It's been a long few months of creativity! I went back into the studio with my head 'buzzing' with inspirational thoughts and have been working on several projects, all which will be on the site very soon. I may have a gallery interested in showing my work - more info on the as it develops - then the web site crashed and I have just finished re building it! All of life's ups and downs, but mostly exciting things happening !!!
